The V edition of the Al Este Film Festival – Argentina already has winners!

 

 

The juries of the V edition of the Al Este Film Festival – Argentina, which takes place in the city of Buenos Aires, announced on Wednesday, October 31, the list of winners in their different categories.

EAST FICTION COMPETITION

 

 

Winner:The miner(Slovenia, 2017), by Hanna AW Slak

"With a precise audiovisual language, El Minero is a work of great narrative rigor. Effective in its structure and with great testimonial value."

Special mention:Dirty(Slovakia, Czech Republic, 2017), by Tereza Nvotová

"For its interesting narrative proposal, for its courageous denunciation and for the way it deals with a current issue such as sexual abuse."

"Because of the importance of keeping the memory of the region alive and at the same time giving a new approach to a theme that is always current, a film that did not stay on the screen and impacted reality, mythologizing it and activating the judiciary."

Special mention:Green river: the time of the yakurunas(Peru, 2017), by Álvaro Sarmiento and Diego Sarmiento

"For his creative way of tackling a subject of great depth, showing today ancient customs that still exist and for investigating the limits between the cinematographic genre and contemporary art through poetry."
