Synopsis

The little that is known about Tito Lombana is not enough to know who he was. It is known that he was a coastal artist of humble origins, who sculpted the most emblematic monument of Cartagena de Indias: Old Shoes. This young man of undoubted talent, who enjoyed a certain fame and prestige, suddenly abandoned art, broke ties with his family and fell into oblivion. The director of the documentary, and Lombana's granddaughter, only saw her grandfather once in her life shortly before his death. Why did her family always hide her grandfather? What secret was behind his smile to make him the family taboo? The film tries to unravel the mystery of this character and does its best to understand the quirky, amoral, but refined and cheerful man, who produced an unhealable breakup. Lombana's story, of love and heartbreak, is illuminated and confused with the complex history of Colombia at the end of the last century.
