Igor Zupe, born in Murska Sobota, has a degree in film directing from the Academy of Theater, Radio, Film and Television of

Ljubljana (UL AGRFT).

In his teens, he formed a music and art group called Abbildungen Variete. After finishing film school, he co-formed a production company called NordCross Production with which he produced and directed TV commercials and music videos for various groups, mostly under different names and various pseudonyms. His main concern is projects for art films or films about art, mainly with the artistic movement of the Neue Slowenische Kunst. Screenings of his films (in collaboration with the Irwin group) have been held in theaters, art galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art - Moma, New York. He has traveled the world directing videos for Unicef. He has also directed major television productions and shows, mostly musicals, incl. National Eurovision Song Contest. He has been recognized with national and international awards, his last award being that of the Soundwatchfilm festival, Berlin, 2018 for the trilogy of films about LP*_Slovene MUSIC IS THE ART OF TIME, in which he was co-author and director of 2 of the 3 films. (Pankrti, Laibach).

He currently has two films in production: "An apology for Modernity" and "I am the beginning of everything and the Universes are being created in my consciousness."
