BAHUAN

In the indigenous communities of Peru there is a close and intense relationship with nature, plants and animals are a very essential part of their lives. The new grandmother/mother takes each bird one by one and feeds them directly from her mouth, which she chews and salivates (banana), as small parrots are not yet capable of doing. Now they are not simply animals, but an extension of her; her new children who will survive the absence of their real mother, thanks to the role of the indigenous mother.
