This competitive section selects films from the countries in which Al Este is present (Argentina, Colombia, France, Peru and Uruguay). In this way, the festival carries out an itinerary through these territories in which it shows the diversity of views and styles of its directors. The films can range from documentary to fiction; as well as from docufiction to animated film.

It is a section that exhibits many of the aesthetic and formal options offered by contemporary cinema.
